Red Stone Drilling is a well engineering consultancy specialising in well performance management and drilling engineering. The company has four mutually supporting business functions.
We offer bespoke, client specific, project management structures to our clients. This ensures that the model selected will integrate with existing systems and processes.
Red Stone Drilling does not market contract personnel to fill slots instead we have a pool of very experienced Drilling Consultants available to be assigned to your project.

Operational Drilling Engineering support. Study - "Technology Selection Process for ERD Wells in Mature Assets".
Performance reviews of offshore drilling programs: well delivery process, operational readiness and execution.
Performance reviews for onshore drilling programs. Ultra ERD drilling studies on behalf of an independent oil company.
Multi-lateral feasibility study. Planning of a multi-lateral well from a mature North Sea platform.
Introduce risk management and probabilistic AFE principles to an independent oil company.
The Team
Harald Benning is the founder and managing director of Red Stone Drilling Limited. Harald graduated in 1990 from the Polytechnic of Den Helder with a degree in Drilling & Production engineering. He then joined Schlumberger Sedco Forex after completing his thesis at Schlumberger Cambridge Research in 1990. After various offshore and onshore assignments in different geographical locations he moved to Schlumberger IPM in 1995 to work in West Africa and Venezuela. Since 1998 he has been working as an independent consultant for a number of oil companies such as BP, Enterprise Oil, Talisman, CNR International, Total E&P UK, Sterling Energy as a Lead Drilling Engineer, Drilling Superintendent and Drilling Manager.
Gail
Amey is our business development manager based in Aberdeen. Gail has a
Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing and has more than 20 years of experience in
the field of finance, marketing, sales and administration. Prior to joining Red
Stone Drilling, Gail held the position of Sales & Marketing Executive for
the Offshore Contractors Association for more than 5 years.
Derek Harrold is an experienced operations drilling engineer who graduated with a BSc Hons (2:1) Geology from Edinburgh University and a MSc Petroleum Geoscience & Engineering of Aberdeen University. Derek has 10 years of oilfield experience gained in a number of locations worldwide.
Katherine Ardila graduated with a BSc in mechanical engineering from Simon Bolivar University, Caracas, Venezuela in 1995. Katherine received her MBA from Robert Gordon University in 2002. She worked for Schlumberger Dowell and Schlumberger IPM as a Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Manager responsible for five offshore rigs working on an integrated services contract.
Her current assignment involves evaluating cuttings waste management options such as cuttings re-injection and skips & ship operations from a technical and commercial perspective.
